Boots - the kind of shoes with high tops. Have become widespread in Kyiv Rus and the Middle East from the Turkic nomads, for whom soft boots were comfortable shoes for riding. In Kyiv Rus firstly were considered as footwear for the nobility (the commoners wore sandals). Later solid boots became common.
