Gambeson

Gambeson - armour wear made of multiple layers of fabric. Often crammed with (depending on region) tow, wool, horsehair, and sometimes impregnated with salt. Depending on age, region and class was considered either as armour, or as under-armour wear.
For example, for the Knights padded jacket was not the armour, and was worn by them solely as underwear. But for the infantry in the central and western Europe, since the Dark Ages until the XV century, padded jacket was considered as armour, and was often the only armour that infantry could afford the.

This Padded jacket has long sleeves. Two layers of cotton batting. Handmade. A quality machine stitching. Padded jacket made of leather and durable fabric, 100% cotton. Standard length of padded jacket is around 84-85 cm.

We offer you to purchase a padded gambeson in our store.
